The El Quixote Festival is a collaborative project created by Artist Studio Project’s Founder and Artistic Director Rafael A. Osuba.
This Festival was created to Celebrate The 400 Year Anniversary Of “El Quijote” a Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra two parts.

About El Quixote Festival: This collaborative project, is open to all artists, art organizations, schools, libraries, universities, art advocates, cultural groups and those that are interested in participating in the celebration.
El Quixote Festival
The Festival’s initial intention is to celebrate the 400th anniversary and closing of Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra’s two books simply known now as “El Quijote”, while placing a special emphasis on artistic creations in the Spanish language. Genres such as visual arts, literature, opera, music, dance, theatre, film, gastronomy along with various academic events are planned.
Additional goals are to broaden the artistic landscape in North Carolina, reach new and more diverse audiences and to build relationships, share knowledge, learn and build consensus.
(Note: events can be both in Spanish and English… Even Spanglish)
The “Hub” if you will of the festival is the Triangle Area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill) but is in no way limited to the Triangle. Events can be planned to include areas throughout NC.
In order to be included, the events must be planned during the festival’s time frame of September 29, 2015 – April 23 2016. Also they must meet a certain criteria. Please contact Rafael to discuss.
The hope is that this festival be turned into a yearly Artistic Event that can be celebrated throughout NC.

Este Festival es para celebrar el IV Centenario (400 años) de “El Quijote”, una novela española de Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra en dos partes.

Este es un proyecto colaborativo, abierto a todos los artistas, organizaciones de arte, escuelas, bibliotecas, universidades, promotores de arte, grupos culturales y los que están interesados en participar en la celebración.
El Festival Quijote
La intención inicial del Festival es para celebrar el IV Centenario aniversario y del cierre de los dos libros de Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra simplemente conocidos hoy como “El Quijote”, mientras colocara un énfasis especial en las creaciones artísticas en el idioma español. Géneros como las artes visuales, la literatura, ópera, música, danza, teatro, cine, la gastronomía junto con diversos eventos académicos se están planificando.
Otros objetivos son ampliar el panorama artístico en Carolina del Norte, llegar a nuevos y más diversos públicos y para construir relaciones, compartir conocimientos, aprender y construir consenso.
(Nota: los eventos pueden ser tanto en español e Inglés … Incluso hasta en Spanglish)
El “Punto Central” del festival tendrá lugar en el Triángulo (Raleigh, Durham y Chapel Hill), pero no es de ninguna manera limitado al Triángulo. Los eventos pueden ser planificados para incluir áreas en toda Carolina del Norte.
Con el fin de ser incluidos, los eventos deben ser planificados durante el temporal del festival. Del 29 de septiembre 2015 – 23 de abril de 2016. También se debe cumplir con ciertos criterios. Por favor, póngase en contacto con Rafael para más información.
La esperanza es que este festival se convierta en un evento artístico anual que se celebrará a lo largo de Carolina del Norte.
